Young Women in Public Affairs $1,000 Scholarship Award
This $1,000 scholarship is for young women ages 16-19 studying and living/working in Berkshire County, who demonstrate superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. For a full list of the eligibility and application requirements, please refer to the application. The winner is eligible to win an international scholarship of $5,000. Applications, 2 recommendations and enrollment certification must be received by March 8th

Jane M. Klausman Business Scholarship $1,000
The $1,000 Berkshire Jane M. Klausman (JMK) Women in Business Scholarship program helps women pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management and overcome gender barriers from the classroom to the boardroom. Deadline for submission is June 15th, 2024. Winner will be eligible to win an International Sponsorship of $5,000.

Girls Inc. Scholarship
We underwrite a $1,000 annual scholarship to Girls Inc. of the Berkshires for a senior girl attending high school in Berkshire County and entering a two or four year college in the fall. Applications are available in high school guidance offices; Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center, 165 East St., Pittsfield. Berkshire Grad. Continuing Student Scholarship $1,000
Zonta Club of Berkshire County will award a $1,000 scholarship to a woman who has graduated from a Berkshire County High School and who is presently enrolled as a freshman, sophomore or junior in a four-year college or university. In order to be considered for the scholarship, the application including a 250 word essay stating the intended college major and goals upon graduation. Personal contact information including the name of the high school in Berkshire County from which they graduated and an official college transcript is also required. The deadline is June 1st.

Amelia Earhart Fellowship $10,000
The goal of the Amelia Earhart (AE) Fellowship, established in 1938 in honor of the legendary pilot and Zontian, is to assist the future of women in the fields of aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering. Globally, women make up around 25 percent of the workforce in the aerospace industry. In an effort to carry out its mission that women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men, Zonta International offers the Amelia Earhart Fellowship.
The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was established in 1938 in honor of famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart. The US$10,000 Fellowship is awarded annually to up to 30 women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. It may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields. The 2023 Amelia Earhart Fellowship application is now closed. The 2024 Amelia Earhart application will open in July 2023.
